Commercialisation of the Post Office

There is quite a lot of information concerning the commercialisation of the post office in New Zealand available on the internet.

The Ministry of Economic Development is responsible for postal policy. They give a Register of Postal Operators from which web pages giving information on each operator can be accessed.

A list of Obligations and Rights of Postal Operators is available. It includes a statement on who can issue stamps, what is classified as a letter etc.
